From 25 to 29 May, Air Force Logistics Command's Commissioner and Administration Service Chief, Inspector General Gennaro Cuciniello, visited the national contingent operating in Kuwait as part of the anti-Daesh coalition. This activity was part of a broader familiarisation visit to national detachments deployed in the Operational Theatre, both in Kuwait and in the United Arab Emirates, at the Al Minhad Air Base (TFA). The objective of the visit was to “To delve into the delicate and, at times, complicated technical-financial issues relating to Operating Theatres.” said General Cuciniello, who, in particular, wanted to see the reality of the Joint Support Administrative Centre of IT NCC Air/TFA Kuwait firsthand. General Cuciniello, welcomed by Colonel Roberto Del Vecchio, Commander of IT NCC Air/TFA Kuwait, also met with Colonel Vito Cracas, Defence Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Kuwait. After visiting the operational facilities, during the Flag-Raising ceremony, he greeted all the personnel of IT NCC Air/TFA Kuwait, also on behalf of the top management of the Italian Air Force, complimenting them on their valuable work: “thanks to this opportunity, I have been able to personally observe the great operational capability of this unit, composed of military personnel from all our Armed Forces who synergistically achieve extremely appreciated results daily at both national and international levels”. At the TFA in Al Minhad, the Commander, Colonel Franco Trozzi, highlighted the importance and uniqueness of the mission carried out to guarantee maximum support for the missions of national contingents engaged in various Operational Theatres in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa, emphasising the important objectives achieved by the TFA. In particular, General Cuciniello carried out an introductory visit to the area of the new logistics camp where the personnel of the Air Task Force have been transferred since February 5th, highlighting the excellent work carried out for the creation of the accommodation area. During the visit to the logistics area of Camp Lyra 41, Gen. Insp. Cuciniello had words of high praise for the activity carried out by the TFA with its men, guided by a deep operational awareness, high responsibility, and commendable dedication.
