The Aeronautical Armaments Directorate delivers the Aeronavigability Certification to the Efficienza Aeromobili Group of the Flight School on Wednesday, 30 May, at the Aeronautical Armaments Directorate (D.A.A.A.) of the General Secretariat of the Defence, the Commander of the 61st Squadron, Col. Luigi Casali, received from Chief Inspector General Basilio Di Martino the approval certificate of the 961st Aeronautical Efficiency Group (G.E.A.) in accordance with the AER(EP)P-2005 “Maintenance of Aeronavigability” on the T346A aircraft. On the same occasion, the approval on the FT339C, T339A, and AT339A aircraft was also confirmed.
This result, together with the certification of approval as an organization authorized to provide training services for the “Military Aviation Regulations” courses (in accordance with AER(EP).P-2147), represents an important moment in the Group’s history and attests to the high levels of competence achieved, consolidating the important role played in achieving the objectives of the Wing and the Armed Forces.
Colonel Casali thanked the Commander of the GEA, present at the certificate presentation, for the achievement achieved “the fruit of commitment, passion and a synergistic teamwork”.
AER(EP).P-2005 is a standard that establishes the requirements that must be met to ensure the maintainability of aircraft, including the maintenance of military aircraft. It is a management tool that, through the mapping and measurement of maintenance processes, is able to ensure the effective and efficient use of available resources.
The 61st Wing, which is subordinate to the Command of the A.M./3rd Air Region of Bari, is an international flight school using jet aircraft that provides training for the acquisition of the Military Pilot’s Certificate “Fighter Track” (for fighter aircraft such as the Tornado, AMX, Eurofighter and F-35) and “RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) Track“ (for remote-controlled aircraft – Predator). The school also provides pre-operational training for the personnel operating the aircraft.
