THE FUTURE OF J-ISR

The “FUTURE J-ISR” workshop will be held at the prestigious venue of the Centre for Higher Defence Studies in Rome. ISR activities are assuming an ever-increasing role in the execution of a wide range of critical missions: counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism, Maritime Domain Awareness, Space Defence, Communications Security in a global context. Maximising Information Superiority of the situation through J-ISR translates not only into an operational advantage on the battlefield, but an advantage in all domains, air, land, sea, space, and, more recently, cyberspace. Experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and the increasingly tumultuous Asia-Pacific region has clearly shown the absolute necessity of making a leap forward in ISR technology. The conference intends to bring together experts from government and industry to set up a working group within CESMA to assist in defining the new Italian roadmap post-2020.
