General Giovanni Fantuzzi visited Forlì as part of his familiarisation visits to the Logistic Command's various entities. On Wednesday 7th March, the Logistic Commander, Air Squad General Giovanni Fantuzzi, carried out a familiarisation visit to the 2nd Vehicle Maintenance Group (V.M.) in Forlì. General Fantuzzi, accompanied by a delegation, was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Luca Zorzan, Commander of the Forlì-based entity, who, during an introductory briefing, presented the key aspects of the maintenance activities, highlighting the unit's extraordinary logistical capability with a view to the continuous optimisation of human and financial resources. Lt. Col. Zorzan also emphasised to the Logistic Commander the level of efficiency achieved by the Group, focused on improving production processes and consolidating its role as a point of reference for inter-force and inter-agency collaborations. The 2nd V.M. Group, which reports hierarchically to the Fiumicino Supply Technical Centre and the Logistic Command's Support Service, carries out extraordinary maintenance, both on-site and with teams operating in theatres of operation outside national borders, on the Armed Force's high operational value vehicles, as well as on generator sets and materials used at Air Terminal Operation Centres.
