A delegation from the Serbian Air Force stops at the Salento Flight School On Tuesday, September 26, a delegation from the Serbian Air Force, led by Air Force Commander MajorGeneral Ranko Živak, visited the 61st Fighter Wing. Upon their arrival, the guests were welcomed by the Commander of the 61st Fighter Wing, Colonel Luigi Casali, who, after the customary greetings, presented a briefing on the Flight School, mission and on the activities carried out at the Salento air base. The delegation then continued its visit to the facilities of the flight school related to training activities. In particular, after viewing the flight simulators of the MB339 aircraft, the delegation moved inside the Ground-Based Training System (GBTS), the building where the ground components of the integrated system linked to the T-346A are installed, the new trainer of the A.M. Here, Lt Col Tuccillo, Commander of the 212th Flight Group, illustrated the simulation area through which the trainee pilot acquires all the necessary tactical skills and capabilities to fly the 346: from the SBT (Simulation-based training), to the PTT (Parties Task Trainer), up to the FMS (Full Mission Simulator), a simulator capable of connecting to the network of real aircraft and “flying” alongside them thanks to the system Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC). The visit then focused on the hangars of the 346, where guests were able to admire the innovative training aircraft live.
The signing of the honor roll and the traditional exchange of commemorative items sealed the end of the meeting.
