Colonel Lospinoso visited the mechanical workshops of the Romagna maintenance department. The visit continued at the Agency’s infrastructure and, in particular, at the mechanical workshops of the “core business” works department of the 2nd Group, and then to the various divisions of the department.
Colonel Lospinoso subsequently met with the CO.BA.R. category representatives and the civil representatives of the RSU.
At the end of the visit, Lieutenant Colonel Cattarinuzzi handed over the Department Crest to Colonel Lospinoso who, in thanking for the hospitality, wished to emphasize his appreciation for the professionalism and competence demonstrated by all the staff of the Authority, highlighting the remarkable cooperation between military and civilian personnel.
The 2nd G.M.A. is directly dependent on the C.T.R. of Fiumicino and the Support Service of the Logistics Command. It carries out maintenance work on special vehicles and high-value operational equipment of the Armed Forces as well as on generators. The Agency also performs third-level work, installations and modifications to mechanical systems, and has the task of sending “contact teams” to operational theaters outside national borders for the maintenance of the vehicles deployed there.
The high level of professional specialization allows the Department to carry out, in addition to technical activities, the training of personnel for the categories of motor vehicles and infrastructure.
