Lawyer Pier Fausto Recchia visited Pratica di Mare for a familiarization visit of the CSV and its “outputs”. Lawyer Recchia, accompanied by Air Force General Carlo Magrassi, Advisor for Defense of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, was received by the CSV Commander, Air Division General Fabio Molteni, and by the Heads of the Departments in which the Center operates. After watching the new presentation film of the CSV capabilities, Lawyer Recchia visited all the Departments with particular interest, acquiring information about the activities carried out, the methodologies and procedures applied, and the results obtained with the associated economic benefits for the various clients. At the end of the visit, Lawyer Recchia thanked the CSV Commander, complimenting him for the excellent work carried out so far by all the components. The CSV brings together all the study and testing entities of the A.M. under a single command. The entity is structured into four departments: the Flight Experimental Department, the Chemical Department, the Armament Department, the Aerospace and Space Medicine Department. The Center represents the main consulting entity for the FAA and the A.D. regarding the flight testing of aircraft and weapon systems, the chemical-physical analysis and evaluation of structural and consumable materials, the training and testing in the field of aerospace medicine, the management of operational software, and the operational verification of weapon systems. The consolidated professionalism of the staff, the equipment with state-of-the-art technology, the continuous contacts and exchanges with important national and foreign research institutions, and not least the possession of the ISO 9001-2008 quality certification, which contributes to the value of the results of the study and research activity also from a commercial point of view, make CSV a valuable resource.
