The training activities for the attendees of the 77th regular course of the Institute of Aeronautical Military Sciences have concluded at the Air Operations Command in Poggio Renatico. The training, aimed at a total of 100 Captains, took place at the Command and Control Training Centre (AOTC – Air Operation Training Centre) of the Air Operations Command in two separate periods: from 19 to 23 December and from 16 to 19 January.
The practical activity forms part of the ISMA educational programme on air force doctrine and employment regulations, with the aim of training personnel in planning an Air Task Order (ATO) for air component units, using the NATO Integrated Command and Control (ICC) system.
During the event, Air Brigade General Paolo Mazzi, Commander of the Operations Preparation Department (R.P.O.), emphasised to participants the importance of the training activities at the COA, as they allow young Officers to become acquainted with a new facet of the Air Force, which prepares and qualifies personnel for conducting air operations within command and control structures of the air component – the Joint Force Air Component Command (JFACC).
The activity concluded with a farewell from General Mazzi, who expressed words of appreciation for the application and attention shown by the participants during the training.
