The delegation of Pakistani Officers conducted a thorough inspection of some units of the 1st Air Division. The program of the visit, after the welcome of Air Division General Fabio Molteni, Commander of the C.S.V., continued with a film presentation about the center and its numerous activities of study and experimentation. Subsequently, an in-depth inspection of the Department of Aerospace Medicine and Space took place. The activity of the department, oriented both towards the training and education of the flying personnel and towards research in the field of aerospace medicine and space medicine, proved particularly interesting for the guests. The visit of the C.S.V. facilities then concluded at the flight line of the Experimental Flight Department, where the tasks, activities, and aircraft of the department were presented. The day concluded with a visit to the 14th Squadron.
The C.S.V. is structured into four departments: the Experimental Flight Department, the Chemical Department, the Armament Department, the Aerospace and Space Medicine Department, bringing together under a single command all the study and experimentation bodies of the A.M.. It is the only Entity of the Italian Armed Forces dedicated to conducting ground and flight experimentation, providing the technical evidence necessary for the operational certification of systems and onboard armament. In this perspective, the C.S.V. has obtained the renewal of its ISO 9001/2008 quality certification.
