The Venetian naval school has carried out an educational visit to the Istrana airport
After the traditional welcome address by the Commander of the 51st Wing, Colonel Mauro Lunardi, the trainees attended a briefing on the mission and operational capabilities of the 51st Wing, at the end of which a visit to some of the airport’s departments took place.
The students visited the local Group Aeromobili Efficiency (G.E.A.), where they were able to see up close the work and tasks that are carried out daily by the staff responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the aircraft. In particular, the students also saw an AMX aircraft on static display, the characteristics of which were illustrated to the technical staff of the Department.
Particular interest was also aroused by the subsequent visit to the 103rd Flight Group, where the students deepened their knowledge of operational activities, also attending the flight operations of the AMX aircraft.
The visit concluded with a group photo at the Bandiera square and the traditional exchange of souvenirs.
