The 3rd Class Marshal’s degrees were presented to the 62 students of the Air Force who belong to the 13th Course. The ceremony, presided over by the Commandant of the School, Colonel Antonio Coppola, took place in the presence of the families of the newly-promoted marshals, who, as in the previous year, actively participated in the event by personally delivering the degrees to their loved ones. Also present at the event was Dr. Massimo Mecarini, President of the Santa Rosa Facchini Association, in testimony of the strong shared values of ethical and moral principles, such as the spirit of sacrifice, strength, character, courage and determination, between the Association itself and the students attending the courses. The ceremony began with Colonel Rovazzani, Commandant of the Courses, and Colonel Coppola symbolically presenting the 3rd Class Marshal’s degrees to the “Phoenix” course in the hands of Cadet Vice Commandant Antonio Ruggiero and Cadet Course Leader Francesca Ulisse. The particularly significant moment was made even more emotional by the delivery of the Honor Scabbard to the Capocorso by Dr. Mecarini, on which a rose was engraved, a symbol of the Sorority and a testament to the strong bond between the citizens of Viterbo and the Department. Subsequently, the degrees were presented to all the other students directly by their families, accompanied by applause from the numerous guests who attended the event. In his speech, Colonel Rovazzani emphasized the importance of this moment, in which the Students assume an undertaking of absolute significance as “It implies above all respect, both towards oneself and towards one's colleagues, maximum commitment and utmost seriousness.”The concept, the latter one, taken up by Colonel Coppola, who, in highlighting how this occasion represents the transition from the status of apprentices to that of Marshal and the entry into the permanent service of the Air Force, emphasized the presence of the parents, a living testament to the traditional closeness of the Armed Forces to the families of the personnel, considered an essential factor in the maturation, growth and entire career of the military.
