The Italian Air Force Band will perform on Thursday 4th November at 4:30 PM in Piazza di Spagna.
During the four days, the Italian Air Force will set up an exhibition area at the Circus Maximus, which will showcase the specific operational activities of the Armed Force.
In particular, there will be a replica of the AM-X fighter jet, an AB-212 ICO (Operational Capability Implementation) helicopter, aircraft currently deployed in Afghanistan, a mobile Air Traffic Control Tower and the Mobile Meteorological Unit, which can be used to support troops in international operations where weather forecasts will be available. Also on display will be vehicles from the 17th Raiders Wing, such as the Lince Light Multirole Tactical Vehicle, a quad bike, an inflatable boat and a “Dragon” fire-fighting vehicle used at military airports.
It will be possible to admire models of the Eurofighter, AM-X, and Tornado fighter jets, the C-130J and C-27J transport aircraft, as well as the HH-3F helicopter. Furthermore, there will be a cockpit of the F-104 fighter jet, with its associated radar antenna for interception.
In addition, visitors can see flight equipment, a lifeboat with its survival kit, an ejection seat, a bio-containment stretcher, engines from the Tornado aircraft and NH-500E helicopter, a cross-sectioned Aspide missile for illustrative purposes, and a cartographic and aerial photography exhibition.
