Friday 30th April, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Operations Room, the Air Force Logistics Commander was welcomed upon arrival by General Scattarelli. Upon arrival, the Commander of the 4th RTM, Brigadier General Donato Scattarelli, after the military honours, accompanied General Marani on a visit to the institution's facilities, laboratories and training rooms. Subsequently, at the Department's Main Hall, General Scattarelli gave a briefing on the reorganisation of the 4th RTM and the tasks of the new operations room, which arises from the need for an information and operational hub for all technical-maintenance services supporting the Armed Force's operations. It will serve as a reference point for all information on telecommunications systems, from radios to radar heads, both nationally and internationally, and for exercise and intervention activities in this field.
Following the briefing, the Operations Room was inaugurated with a ‘ribbon-cutting ceremony’ by the Logistics Commander, to whom the assigned staff detailed all the activities carried out.
At the end of the inauguration, after the traditional exchange of gifts, General Marani congratulated the heads of the various units present, expressing his keen satisfaction with the activities carried out and the results achieved to date. He reiterated the importance of achieving objectives through synergistic work among all components of the 3rd Division of the Logistics Command, for which the 4th RTM represents the essential tool for the realisation of its institutional tasks. Before leaving the Unit, General Marani concluded his visit by expressing his satisfaction in the Book of Honour for “the path taken and the results achieved,” and stating his “certainty that the future will hold ever more important and useful milestones for the Armed Force for the 4th RTM”.
