Friday 10th September marked the handover with Gen. D.A. Girardi, in the presence of the Logistic Commander of the Air Force, Gen. S.A. Marani. General Girardi, in his farewell speech, highlighted the commitment of the Division's personnel, stating they had “directed their efforts primarily towards achieving well-defined objectives and objectively measurable results, seeking to satisfy the pressing demands from the operational world with the utmost determination, pursuing an increase in the capability, quality and timeliness of the services provided.” This was also achieved “through the review of the organisational structures of the dependent technical departments”.
General Trinca, who has taken up the appointment, retaining that of Deputy Logistic Commander, thanked the Logistic Commander in his speech for the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of the 3rd Division's areas of interest and expressed his intention to continue the path already begun, while at the same time inviting personnel to continue to operate with initiative and insight. At the conclusion of the ceremony, General Marani praised General Girardi's work for the activities carried out, highlighting his effective collaboration, dedication and the results achieved. General Marani then offered General Trinca his best wishes for tackling the new role and the complex technical-logistical aspects associated with it. General Girardi will take up the position of Head of Department 6 ‘C4I Systems and Transformation’ at the Defence Staff.
