Tuesday 30 January, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella received, during a private meeting, the National Acrobatic Patrol at the Quirinal Palace in Rome. The meeting also saw the participation of the Military Advisor, Air Chief Marshal Gianni Candotti, and the Head of the 5th Department “Communication” of the Air Staff, Air Commodore Urbano Floreani.

During the meeting, Lt. Col. Massimiliano Salvatore, Commander of the 313th Aerobatic Training Group, had the opportunity to present President Mattarella with the 2024 acrobatic season programme; a significant commitment which will see the Frecce Tricolori as protagonists not only in Italy, but also in North America, after more than 30 years of absence.

In particular, the complex Tour includes a series of events and flypasts by the National Aerobatic Patrol overseas, with numerous stops between Canada and the United States of America.

The Commander of the National Aerobatic Patrol also presented President Mattarella with the Frecce Tricolori Poster 2024 which this year sees the MB-339PAN aircraft formating to trail the Tricolore in flight over the Strait of Messina.
