On Monday 14 April, the Framework Agreement was formalised at the Federico II University's Boardroom, between the’Italian Air Force and the’University of Naples “Federico II”, for collaboration in activities of training, search e experiments In areas of common interest.
The agreement was signed, for the Air Force, by Commander of the Air Force Schools Air Brigade General Silvano Frigerio, on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and, for “Federico II”, from Magnificent Rector Professor Matteo Lorito.
The two Authorities, while underscoring the importance of renewing the consolidated collaborative relationship between the two Institutions in an increasingly excellence-driven world, emphasised the opportunity to systematise their respective knowledge and skills to jointly address emerging challenges in areas of mutual interest.
A Cooperation Agreement was also signed at the same venue between the Aeronautical Academy and the University of Naples “Federico II”, for the provision of a service of University education for regular attendees of the Academy's courses. The document was signed by the Commander of the Air Force Academy Air Marshal Luigi Casali and from the Magnificent Rector Professor Matteo Lorito.
With the signing of these documents, the Italian Air Force and the “Federico II” University renew their institutional collaboration, testament to the shared desire to continue and strengthen synergies in areas of common interest.
The’Air Force Academy It depends Air Force Schools Command/3rd Air Region. It is a higher military education institution of a university character tasked with select e train Young people who aspire to become Officers in the Air Force. By attending the Regular Courses of the Academy, one can become a Second Lieutenant in Permanent Active Service in the Air Force, in the normal Navigational Role (pilots) and in the Normal Role of Arms, Air Force Engineering, Air Force Commissariat Corps and Air Force Medical Corps. Courses are also held at the Institute for Officer Cadets (Reserve Pilots and Navigators and Fixed Term) and directly appointed Second Lieutenants (of both the Normal and Special Roles); finally, the Academy's Study Plan includes courses with an aeronautical specialisation, for foreign personnel and other Armed Forces.
