Among the priority tasks of the TFA include providing for the ’Air Medical Evacuation“ of any wounded from the operational theaters as quickly as possible and the subsequent repatriation. The exercise involved, in fact, all the members of the Task Force and, under the careful ”direction“ of the Operations Office, simulated the actions to be undertaken from the moment the medical evacuation order is received by the TFA, to the planning of the mission, to the preparation of an C130J aircraft equipped for the treatment of any pathologies or injuries of the transported individuals. The exercise concluded with the simulation of a rapid evacuation of the aircraft with a stretcher-bound patient to test the capabilities of the ground and on-board personnel during a critical event for the safety of the aircraft and the personnel transported.
