On Wednesday 11 August, at the HQ of the Schools Command of the AM/3rd R.A. of Bari Palese, the inauguration of the Department commanded by General Ventrella took place.
The Commander of the newly established Department, Brigadier General Vito Vincenzo Ventrella, in his speech highlighted that “The ability of the group, what it truly is, lies in its personnel; from the newest recruit to its Commander, it resides in the many faces that have come and gone; in the spirit of unity that makes us proud of our Department and the contribution we know how to make to achieve the results that the Armed Forces expect.”.
The Mobile Command and Control Department has the task of providing and ensuring a deployable military instrument of modular, transportable, flexible, safe, technically self-sufficient type, integrated with the national Armed Forces systems and interoperable with those of NATO and the allied countries, which includes operational and technical components intended to enable the Air Force Operational Command, as well as the Theater Commander (when deployed), to exercise the function of Command and Control through the instruments intended to plan, direct and execute air operations, autonomously or in conjunction with other Armed Forces.
