Colonel Fernando Fuccelli succeeds Colonel Alfonso Angrisani.
Wednesday 18 January, on the Guidonia 60th Wing airport facilities, the handover took place at Commissariat Directorate, between the Colonel Alfonso Angrisani and the Colonel Fernando Fuccelli. The ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Pasquale Izzo, Head of Commissariat and Administration Service del Logistics Command.
Among the military and civilian authorities, former Directors of the Commissariat Directorate, the Mayor of the City of Guidonia Montecelio, Dr Mauro Lombardo, the Commanders of the co-located Entities, and a representation from the city section of the Air Force Association took part in the event.
It Colonel Angrisani, In his farewell speech, in front of all the personnel of the Commissariat Directorate, after heartily thanking the authorities present, he highlighted the initiatives undertaken during an extremely complex period and the great commitment shown by all military and civilian personnel of the Directorate.
It Colonel Fuccelli, in his inaugural address, he heartily thanked the Superior Authorities for his appointment to the post and the trust placed in him, and also expressed sentiments of sincere gratitude towards Colonel Angrisani for the work carried out within the Directorate.
At the conclusion of the speeches, the Head of Commissariat and Administration Service, Brig. Gen. Pasquale Izzo, after offering a special greeting to the Mayor of Guidonia Montecelio and the guests present, expressed his immense appreciation for Colonel Angrisani's work, who, despite finding himself leading the Directorate in “in a perfect storm”, since the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic, has managed to achieve ambitious goals with passion, commitment, total availability and great empathy, bringing the Directorate's activities to levels of absolute excellence.
Addressing Col. Fuccelli, Brig. Gen. Izzo continued: “Fernando, it will be your burden and honour to continue in this vein, but I am sure you will employ all your competence, diligence and commitment necessary to ensure the Armed Forces have what they need.”.
The Commissariat Directorate carries out the functions provided for in art. 149 of Legislative Decree no. 66/2010 (COM) and in arts. 525, 526 and 527 of Presidential Decree no. 90/2010 (TUOM).
In particular, which governing body performs the technical, administrative, and logistical functions inherent to the organisation and operation:
• services relating to victuals, fodder, clothing, equipment, barrack accommodation, fuels, general and kitchen services;
• general services as referred to in Articles 493 and 496 of the TUOM, and in particular services relating to office machinery, furnishings and vestments for religious services, musical instruments, materials for cleaning and staff hygiene;
• of any other service determined by the competent Central Authority in relation to the needs of the Armed Force.
Furthermore, it carries out technical and logistical inspections, in accordance with current regulations.
Currently, the organisational structure of the Directorate is centred around three Offices, the Goods Laboratory, and the Central Stores Warehouse.
