From 7 to 10 October at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome, the Armed Forces stands are present to make young people aware of the opportunities offered by the military. In particular, the aim of the event is to make youngsters understand that there is someone ready to welcome and harness their potential and values. The Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force and the Carabinieri), under the aegis of the Defence General Staff, wished to take part in the event to introduce themselves to young people and make them aware of the opportunities offered by the military world, as well as the activities and projects designed for their future. The Defence stand was visited by many boys and girls, aged between ten and twenty, who were enthusiastic and curious to learn about the world of the Armed Forces. Numerous questions were asked about the possibilities of enlisting in the Armed Forces, as well as the working environments in which they could be placed and career development. During the day, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, the Honourable Gianfranco Fini, and the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for family policies, the fight against drug addiction and civil service, the Honourable Carlo Giovanardi, visited the Defence stand. On Friday 8 October, as part of the space dedicated to ‘Young people meet’, the Search and Rescue activity conducted by the 15th CSAR (Combat Search and Rescue) Wing of Cervia (Ravenna) is scheduled to be illustrated.
