On Monday, February 28th, humanitarian aid from the World Food Programme departed from Brindisi airport for refugees in Tunisia who had fled Libya. The transported materials were subsequently loaded onto trucks that reached the border between Tunisia and Libya, where thousands of refugees (men, women, and children) who had fled the Libyan state were gathered. The WFP (World Food Programme) team, responsible for distribution, was awaiting the cargo. On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 2nd, a TMACargo (Trans Mediterraneas Airways) A300 aircraft made a further flight to Cairo, transporting 18 tonnes of medicines.
