The 2nd Engineer Regiment contributed to the implementation of the electrical systems necessary to set up 50 new intensive and semi-intensive care beds for the new Covid-Hospital. The 2nd Air Force Engineering Department of Ciampino, under the command of the Logistic Command's Infrastructure Service, ensures the construction and efficiency of the infrastructure used by the Air Force located in operational bases and entities in the regions of Tuscany, Lazio, Sardinia and Campania, through the detached Infrastructure Technical Services, by carrying out studies, surveys, designs and contracts.
