Another five officers from course Leone V achieve the coveted Military Pilot qualification. The Graduation ceremony, as is tradition, took place in the presence of the entire international leadership of the Programme, and this time, the Guest Speaker was an important United States Military Authority: Admiral Bill Gortney – Commander, United States Fleet Forces Command. The High Officer, an experienced pilot with over 5,000 flight hours and more than 1200 aircraft carrier landings aboard aircraft such as the A-7E Corsair II and FA-18 Hornet, addressing the newly graduated officers, focused, among other things, on the importance of being, in addition to military pilots, always and in any case “leaders” to successfully complete difficult missions in the most diverse and complex operational theatres. A particularly noteworthy event during the ceremony was the ”Academic Award,” for the student who achieved the best results in the study phase, presented to Lieutenant Riccardo G. The “solemn” Graduation ceremony was preceded by a “national” convivial evening, in order to give exclusive prominence to our “graduands” and celebrate with their families who came from Italy. During this event, the Head of RAMI, Lieutenant Colonel Minonne, drew attention to the “graduand” officers who will be the leaders of our Armed Force in the near future and therefore the core of our organisation. In particular, he reminded the five new “graduands” to always operate with the spirit of sacrifice and tenacity that has distinguished them during this training path, in order to fulfil the mission entrusted to the Armed Force in any operational theatre.
