Wednesday 20th April, the meeting with the Head of the Sports Office of the 3rd Department of the Defence General Staff and Head of the CONI-Armed Forces Liaison Office. The conference was attended by the Marshal trainees of the three courses present at the facility, as well as a substantial representation of permanent staff. The event is part of the activities identified by the Defence General Staff aimed at promoting knowledge of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) within Training Institutes. General Sestili, in his speech, illustrated the history, duties and guiding principles of CISM, dwelling on the importance of sport in the international military world, above all as a moment of aggregation and union among peoples. Lieutenant Colonel Loiudice examined the various types of sporting activity conducted within the Italian Air Force, placing emphasis on the main results achieved by the athletes in the Azzurra uniform. The conference represented an important opportunity to explore certain aspects of this specific sector in which the military world is particularly present and committed.
