AERONAUTICAL CULTURE COURSE ENDS IN PESCARA

The ceremony for the awarding of course participation certificates took place in the main assembly hall of the “Leonardo da Vinci” Secondary School in Pescara. The event was attended by the Police Commissioner (Questore) of Pescara, Dr Paolo Passamonti, the Headmaster of the “da Vinci” School, Dr Giuliano Bocchia, Colonel Alberto Pelacchi, Commander of the Guidonia Airport Command/Gliding Group, and local military authorities. At the end of two short but intense weeks of the course, 339 students flew on the S.208M aircraft of the Gliding Group, totalling around 80 hours of flight time. The initiative aroused keen interest among the young people, who showed particular enthusiasm and participation. The top-ranking students, Melissa Zaffiri and Matteo Guarnieri, as planned, will have the opportunity to take part in a two-week glider flight course directly at the Guidonia military airport. The next event will take place from 6 to 17 May with students from the city of Pavia. video made for the event by the Guidonia Airport Command/Gliding Flight Group
