The Prefect of Novara has awarded prizes to the best “in uniform“ archers from all over Italy
For the fourth consecutive year, the best archers from the Armed Forces and State Corps from all over Italy competed over two days at the airport sports facility.
The Grand Prix is part of the sporting events promoted by the F.I.T.A.V., the Italian Flying Disc Federation, with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Defence. The award ceremony for the winners took place on Thursday, April 21, in the presence of the Prefect of Novara, Dr. Giuseppe Amelio, and the Commander of the Cameri Airport, Colonel Alessandro Tudini, as well as numerous civil and military authorities, including Captain Domenico Lufrano, the Head of the Military Corps at the Italian Flying Disc Federation (FITAV), the President of the FITAV of the Piedmont Region, Giuseppe Facchini, and the National Councilor of the FITAV, Vincenzo Cito. The sporting event, coordinated by Lt. Col. Enrico Ponzuoli, was attended by 63 archers from the following Armed Forces and State bodies: the Italian Army, the Air Force, the Navy, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza, the Police, the Fire Brigade and a representative of the local police authorities. The Fire Brigade team, ranked first among teams with six shooters, was followed by the Police Department and the Air Force. For the teams with three shooters, the top spot went to the Air Force, followed by the Fire Brigade and the Italian Army.

Loc.), Barison Vito (VVF), Tommasin Andrea (VVF) At the conclusion of the event, Regional President Fitav Pino Facchini wished to thank the Aeronautica Militare and the Airport Command for “the perfect organization and hospitality offered to all members of the Federation” – recalling that “the Base of Cameri has become a clear point of reference for the entire Italian Shooting Federation”.
