This year, the solidarity initiative of the Air Force Schools Command/3rd RA has been renewed.
General Cormio was welcomed at the Policlinico by Dr Vitangelo Dattoli, General Manager of the University Hospital Trust, and at the Giovanni XXIII by Dr Maria Giustina D’Amelio. During the visits, the Band of the Italian Air Force Schools Command/3rd Air Region performed a Christmas concert, delighting the many hospitalised children and their relatives with Christmas music. Afterwards, PASFA (Association for Spiritual Assistance to the Armed Forces) distributed Christmas gifts to the children, who responded with hugs and smiles.
General Cormio, in his address of welcome, declared: “This is a commitment we are proud to pursue, we are grateful to you for offering us this opportunity, you enrich us with a little extra humanity and a moment of reflection on the truly important things in life.”The initiative, in its fifth edition, was conceived by the men and women of the A.M. Schools Command/3rd A.A., who see themselves as professional soldiers and responsible citizens, capable of offering moments of peace to the young patients.
