The event was organized to raise funds to be donated to the populations affected by the earthquake in Emilia. The event was an opportunity to concretely highlight the values of solidarity and social inclusion. The images of the recent earthquake in Emilia broadcast by the media documented the destruction of homes, the hardships in the tent cities, and the incalculable damage to the artistic heritage suffered by one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The fulfillment of the duty of solidarity towards those in need was the basis of the important evening organized to raise funds through the sale of local products offered by numerous local companies. The funds were donated to the volunteer association “Vola nel Cuore” of Ferrara, which works to bring serenity and smiles to children during their stay in the hospitals in Ferrara, but which in this particular period is dedicating itself to the many children affected by the tragedy of the earthquake. The funds raised will be used in a first phase to fill any shortages of specific food and material supplies, and subsequently for the reconstruction of a structure intended for children in the locality of San Carlo, a town that “Vola nel Cuore” follows more directly with its volunteers. During the concert, conducted by journalist Alessandra Lofino, the Fanfara of the Air Force School Command/3rd Air Region performed. The Fanfara, composed of personnel from the Air Force, selected from the best graduates of music conservatories, stands out for the high artistic level of its performances and the quality of the programs it presents, being considered one of the most representative in the panorama of Italian brass bands.
