In relation to the press reports published today, concerning an investigation into alleged irregularities in the management of aeronautical components, the following is clarified:

From the outset, the Italian Air Force has provided its full and immediate cooperation to the Civil and Military judicial authorities, with whom it is actively working, making available all documentary and informational elements useful for clarifying the facts under review.

In addition, the Armed Forces have appointed an internal technical assessment committee. .

The management of aeronautical materials and related logistical procedures occurs through rigorous technical-administrative and traceability protocols compliant with current national and international regulations. Any anomalies or divergent individual conduct, — if ascertained in the competent authorities — and any personal liability will be dealt with with absolute firmness, also from a disciplinary and administrative perspective, in full compliance with the law and the prerogatives of the judicial authority.

The Air Force will continue to closely monitor the developments of the situation, trusting in the rapid ascertainment of the facts to protect its honour and its personnel who operate daily with professionalism and a sense of duty in service to the country.
