Press release no. 3/2022 Italian Air Force: urgent medical transport for a pregnant woman. Missions of this type require the utmost and absolute speed, guaranteed by meticulous and widespread organisation and well-tested procedures. Through its Flying Squadrons, the Italian Air Force provides aircraft and crews ready to take off at any time and capable of operating even in complex meteorological conditions to ensure the urgent transport not only of people in imminent danger of life, as happened today, but also of organs and medical teams for transplants. Hundreds of flight hours are carried out every year for these types of operations by the aircraft of the 31st Wing of Ciampino, the 14th Wing of Pratica di Mare and the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa.
