Tuesday 31st May at the 61st Wing, the presentation of diplomas to the two newly qualified ‘Lead In To Fighter Training’ Instructors.’
The two new instructors, Captain Pantaloni and Lieutenant Cugliari, with backgrounds in Tornado and AM-X fighter jets, boast a TLP (Tactical Leadership Programme) qualification and operational experience in the Afghan theatre. They join the ranks of the 212th SMI (Slow Movers Interceptor) Group's instructor pilots, qualified to engage in and impart operational experience in both air-to-air and air-to-ground roles.
Words of appreciation and encouragement were expressed by Colonel Colonna, who did not fail to highlight the value of the 212th Flight Group's work, aimed at the professional growth of pilots from Italian Operational Departments and partner countries in the Phase IV training programme, such as France, Greece, Austria, and others interested in the internationalisation of the 61st Wing's training offer.
