On Monday 23rd May, Gen. S.A. Tosi, accompanied by Gen. B.A. Vecciarelli, was welcomed upon arrival by Col. Vestito, Commander of the Wing.
Accompanied by the Commander of the Combat Forces, Air Brigade General Enzo Vecciarelli, General Tosi was welcomed upon arrival by the Commander of the Wing, Colonel Francesco Vestito.
The Air Group Commander attended an introductory briefing on the Wing and its organisation, in the presence of the Group Commanders, before holding a meeting with Cobar personnel and representatives of the civilian employee trade unions.
In particular, General Tosi wished to highlight the Wing's significant commitment and the capabilities demonstrated in operational and organisational spheres within the ‘Odyssey Dawn’ and subsequently ‘Unified Protector’ operations; activities in which the Wing showed it could admirably interpret the various roles and operational profiles assigned, highlighting its flexibility in deployment and projection capabilities, characteristics of a modern Armed Force.
