On Tuesday 19 October, the handover of command took place with Gen. Scattarelli, in the presence of the Commander of the 3rd Division of the AM Logistics Command. The event was attended by the Prefect of Latina, Dr D’Acunto, the Vice President of the Province of Latina, Dr De Monaco, and numerous religious, civil and military authorities.
Colonel Celletti, born in Rome in 1950, began his military career by attending the Training Course at the Application School in Florence in 1971 and subsequently attended numerous specialisation courses which earned him, among other things, the qualification of Telecommunications Manager. Throughout his career he has held various positions, including Head of the 4th Section of the 1st Office of the 4th Department of the then Telecommunications and Flight Assistance Inspectorate (1988-1989), Commander of the 3rd Telecommunications Maintenance Group of the 2nd Air Region Command (1989-1997), Head of the Didactic Management Section of the Directorate of Electronics Courses of the TEI Department of the Defence General Staff (1998-2002), Head of the 2nd Office of the 1st Department of the 3rd Division of the Italian Air Force Logistic Command (2002-2003), Head of the 3rd Office of the 1st Department of the 3rd Division of the Italian Air Force Logistic Command (2003-2007) and Deputy Commander of the Defence C4 Command (2007-2010). He is a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and has been awarded the Gold Cross for Length of Service. The 4th RTM, established on 31 December 2006, reports to the 3rd Division of the Logistic Command of the Italian Air Force and provides technical support, operation and maintenance of all simple and complex equipment supporting the operations of the Armed Force in the area of telecommunications (Air/Ground and satellite systems), radio aids, meteorology, data and voice transport networks, Command and Control systems used in the air defence sector, Defence Air Defence radar platforms, as well as radio aids.
