Thursday 17th March, celebrations in Ferrara Cathedral Square
The Prefect of Ferrara, Dr. Provvidenza Raimondo, stressed the importance of the event, which must cement the nation, recalling the sacrifice of those who fought for the unity of the country. After the military ceremony, the celebrations continued at the Prefecture, where young people from Ferrara who had created works depicting characters or events related to the 150 years of national history were awarded prizes. For the occasion, shop windows in the city were furnished by the COA and other Armed Forces and State Armed Corps with historical and promotional material, which was met with the unanimous appreciation of the local population.
