A few days after the symbolic application of the first sticker with the logo of the Centenary of the Air Force on a service car by the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, Air Squad General Luca Goretti, the brand identity of the Blue Air Force, in view of the important anniversary to be celebrated next 28 March 2023, also extends to buses with the presentation of a striking wrapping.
Designed and developed to communicate the deepest values of the Armed Force, the wrapping for the coaches honour the past of the Italian Air Force, with its glorious history and pioneering aviation feats, simultaneously celebrating the present, with community service, and gaze fixed on the future, to intercept the upcoming challenges between innovation, aerospace and technological frontiers.
The graphics chosen for the buses actually embody, in an expressive and immediate way, the concept of continuity in the history of the Italian Air Force through the representation of two aeroplanes crossing paths in flight, one dating back to the era of the founding of the Royal Air Force and the other of the latest generation, ideally signifying the historical path of the Armed Force which, yesterday as today, aims for new and higher horizons in the service of the country and the international community.
A further celebratory element is depicted by the image of two drivers, the first clearly from the past, the other instead contemporary, looking into each other's eyes, in an ideal transmission of the same values and traditions that draw a line of continuity uniting these first 100 years of the Armed Forces.
The importance of an impactful livery for the AM buses, which also includes the logo and the claim official, One hundred years of the Italian Air Force – Flying towards the future, is due to the fact that all citizens, not just aviation enthusiasts, can feel moved and recognise the AM's commitment to the community.
The first buses with the Centenary livery have already been running on the streets of Rome for a few days and will soon be “visible” also in cities that host the main units of the Italian Air Force.
