Change of command at the General Office for Managerial Innovation

Monday 29 September, at Palazzo Aeronautica, in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Marshal Antonio Conserva, the change of command ceremony took place’General Office for Managerial Innovation (UIM) between Air Vice-Marshal Fabio Giunchi and the Air Vice-Marshal Paolo Cuppone.

In the welcoming speech, the General Giunchi paid heartfelt thanks to the UIM staff for their professionalism, competence, and tireless commitment in supporting the Armed Forces' process of change and innovation.

It General Cuppone, for his part, in thanking the Chief of the General Staff for the trust placed in him, said he was ready to tackle the challenges facing the UIM with enthusiasm and determination as part of the ongoing transformation programme.

It Chief of the Air Staff, whilst expressing his sincere appreciation for the work carried out by the outgoing Head of the General Office, he extended his best wishes for success in his new role to General Cuppone.

The General Office for Managerial Innovation (UIM) is the body directly dependent on the Chief of Staff of the Air Force responsible for Research & Development in the field of organisational innovation, providing advice to the organisation’s top leadership for the implementation and management of Integrated Innovative Services for Project, Quality, Knowledge, and Human Resources. The UIM also functions as the Portfolio, Programme and Project Office (P3O) for the Italian Air Force. Finally, within the Office, the Certification Body (OdC) AMiCERT is established, an accredited entity for the certification of professional figures and management systems, representing a unique entity within the Public Administration.
