The handover between the outgoing Colonel Lombardi and the incoming Colonel Lorenzon took place in the presence of Major General A. Molteni. The ceremony, held in the presence of the highest civil and military authorities of the Marca, was presided over by Air Division General Fabio Molteni, Commander of the 2nd Division of the Logistics Command.
Colonel Lombardi, upon leaving the position he held for over 3 years, thanked all the personnel for their commitment to achieving prestigious milestones. In particular, he highlighted the so-called “triad of excellence”, namely the achievement of the Unit's triple certification according to international standards for quality, environment and occupational safety, as well as the operational results of the AMX fleet, deployed in various theatres of operation outside national borders.
Colonel Lorenzon, who began his career precisely at the Unit he is now called upon to lead, thanked the Superior Authorities for the trust placed in him and, upon taking up the prestigious position, underlined the commitment with which the previous Directors have brought the Unit to a widely recognised level of excellence.
Finally, General Molteni wished to express words of profound appreciation for the results achieved by the 3rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit (3° R.M.V.), above all in terms of efficiency in resource management, wishing the new Director the very best in achieving ever more prestigious goals.
