At the event, presided over by Colonel Maragucci, Commander of the 32nd Wing, a contingent of personnel from the Unit was in attendance.

The Force Protection Group carries out constant surveillance and vigilance of the Base, coordinating all activities relating to local defence and preparing the necessary measures to implement plans for dealing with crisis/emergency situations, as well as the training of personnel employed in the Group.
In his farewell speech, the outgoing Commander thanked his staff for their professionalism and sense of belonging to the Group, commending them for the important results achieved. He finally extended his best wishes for the prestigious and delicate role he had just taken on to the incoming commander, who, in the past year, had held the position of Commander of the 532nd S.L.O. Group.
