The handover ceremony took place between Inspector General Gennaro Cuciniello, outgoing Head of the Commissariat and Administration Service, and Brigadier General Giuseppe Midilli, the incoming officer. On Monday 02 July, the handover ceremony between Inspector General Gennaro Cuciniello, outgoing Head of the Commissariat and Administration Service, and Brigadier General Giuseppe Midilli, the incoming officer, took place at the “Sala degli Eroi” of Palazzo Aeronautica in Rome, in the presence of the Air Force Logistic Commander, Air Chief Marshal Giovanni Fantuzzi. Gen. Cuciniello, who is leaving the position of Head of the Commissariat and Administration Service, highlighted how the farewell takes on a significance that goes beyond the formal handover, given the roles carried out in the Service since 2003. The experience gained over 15 years has, in fact, allowed him to be a participant in the important transformation processes that have affected the Armed Force, particularly in the Commissariat and Administration sectors. The reduction in financial resources has made it necessary to resort to innovative solutions, in the “4.0” spirit, to always ensure the operational readiness of the Air Force, especially in managing logistical flows and in the procurement programmes for goods and services. At the same time, in the area of salary processing, the leadership of the Air Force has been strengthened, also extended to Army and Navy personnel, with the Single Salary Database, an excellence in sectoral IT management.
General Midili outlined future objectives within the framework of a “4.0” approach, attentive to the living and operational needs of the Departments, despite the constraints of limited resources and profound regulatory innovations. In particular, he highlighted cohesion, the capacity for constructive dialogue, and a spirit of service as guiding principles for all personnel of the Quartermaster and Administration Service, in order to be a cohesive and dynamic team, ready to respond to change with the intelligence and professionalism that is widely recognised, capable of providing an excellent service to the Armed Force and the Country. General Fantuzzi, after thanking General Cuciniello for the important work carried out at the helm of the Quartermaster and Administration Service, highlighted the remarkable personal and professional qualities that have enabled him to achieve the brilliant results mentioned, in a sector of particular importance for the Armed Force such as that managed by the Quartermaster and Administration Service. To Inspector General Gennaro Cuciniello and Brigadier General Midili, General Fantuzzi reaffirmed his sincere esteem, wishing them the best satisfaction in their new important roles.
