Monday 11 November, at the Hall of Heroes at Palazzo Aeronautica in Rome, the handover ceremony for the position of Chief of the Commissariat and Administration Service took place between Brigadier General Pasquale Izzo, outgoing, and the Colonel Michele Minenna, subsequent.
The event was presided over by Logistic Commander, Air Force General Antonio Conserva, and saw the participation of numerous Military and civil authorities, in addition to the Service staff with representation from the Dependent Bodies.
In his farewell speech, the Brigadier General Pasquale Izzo thanked him staff of the Service and dependent Bodies for the work carried out during his mandate as well as“colleagues from other Armed Forces, who have never failed to offer us their support and collaboration”. He then offered a wish to the Colonel Michele Minenna for the provision of the Service, hoping “achieving new and ambitious results.
It Colonel Michele Minenna, In his/her inaugural speech, he/she thanked the Higher Authorities for the Trust grant him “I wish to express my gratitude to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and to you, General Conserva, for the trust placed in me; something that fills me with pride and at the same time with strength and courage to face the tasks that await me.
After then having spoken words of gratitude to the Brigadier General Izzo, thanked the men and women of the Service“for what I am certain you will do and we will do together.
The Logistics Commander, Air Chief Marshal Antonio Conserva, after thanking the guests who attended, highlighting “the collaboration that has always united the Commissioner's Office with other interforce entities”, thanked him Brigadier General Pasquale Izzo for the service rendered during his tenure and offered his sincere best wishes to Colonel Michele Minenna for the assumption of the role, concluding with the importance “of the unity of all formations of the Logistic Command for the challenges that await us.”.
The Commissariat and Administration Service, within the Logistics Command, is responsible for ensuring support Logistics and Financial in their traditional sectors of goods and services necessary for the operation of the Bodies and to oversee administrative and accounting management, in National and international territory; the functions are exercised by Two departments (Supervision and Administration) and from An office Resource Management and Operational Coordination.
