The handover between the Commanders of the P.O.L. Network took place in the presence of the Commander of the Refuelling Technical Centre.
took place on Thursday, 19 September at the Parma POL Network Command the military ceremony of the handover between the Lieutenant Colonel Domenico Capozzi, outgoing Commander, and the Lieutenant Colonel Sandro Gulisano, Incoming Commander.
The ceremony was presided over by Commander of the Fiumicino Supply Technical Centre, Colonel Massimo Cionfrini, along with the presence of Banner of the City of Parma, decorated with the Gold Medal for Military Valour, by numerous military, civil and religious authorities, including the Prefect of Parma, Dr Antonio Lucio Garufi. The impressive framework of the ceremony was also enriched by Banner of the province of Parma decorated with the Gold Medal for Civil Merit and those of the neighbouring municipalities of Fornovo di Taro and Fontevivo, as well as the banners of the veterans' and corps associations.
In his farewell speech, Lieutenant Colonel Capozzi, after expressing his gratitude to the authorities present, extended a special thank you to all the personnel of the P.O.L. Network Command.“This is not the place to take stock. – said Commander Capozzi – But I can certainly state that all the objectives assigned to us have been achieved, always operating with the utmost commitment, always ensuring a prompt and effective response. And if this was possible, if these results were achieved, it is certainly because I could count on a group of men and women, military and civilian personnel, whom I have had the privilege of leading. Serious personnel, professionally prepared, and ready in all circumstances to expend the necessary energy. For this reason – You then concluded – my dear colleagues, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Always be proud and honoured of the task you carry out.”.
The incoming Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gulisano, then took to the floor, and after greeting the authorities present, he addressed the personnel he had taken command of: “I am sure I can count on your generous, effective and committed daily efforts to fully accomplish the tasks that await us. My commitment to you will be to ensure constant guidance and continuous presence. – continued Commander Gulisano – dedicating myself to all of you without holding back and sharing with you the difficult daily challenges and the projects we will achieve, but also the gratifications and satisfactions that we will surely obtain together.”
The Commander of the Fiumicino Supply Technical Centre, Colonel Cionfrini, then took the floor, thanking the authorities present in the first place, and paying a well-deserved tribute to the banner of the City of Parma decorated with the Gold Medal for Military Valour. He then addressed words of closeness and appreciation to the outgoing and incoming Commanders: “I bring you today the embrace of the entire command line, starting from the top of the Armed Force, passing through the Logistics Command and the Support Service, and reaching you through me. We all gather around the personnel of the P.O.L. Network, and in particular the two Commanders who are changing today.”.

The P.O.L. Network Command is an organisation of Logistics Command – Support Services hierarchically dependent on the Fiumicino Supply Technical Centre. The Body is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of Jet A1 fuel, for the refuelling of the Air Force air bases, certain flight units of the Italian Army, the Aviano USA air base, and certain civil airports in northern Italy.
