“For a hundred years, aircraft of the Regia Aeronautica, before, and of the Air Force Then, militarily, they plough the skies of the world, has commented on the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Force General Luca Goretti, to conclude the event. Aeroplanes of all specialities, with always cutting-edge technological characteristics and solutions, piloted by amazing men and women who have made their mark, at times tragically, in the thrilling Plot of aeronautical and space progress, woven day by day with great achievements but also with the silent self-sacrifice of the daily lives of sailors, technicians and specialists, inspired by the values and passion that belong to us and that we carry, and will always carry, in our hearts.” […] Ours is an Armed Force that looks to the future, we may have changed organisation, structure, personnel, but the passion has not, it has never changed, it has remained unchanged over these 100 years of life.

It Under Secretary of State for Defence Matteo Perego di Cremnago, at the end of the event, wanted to underline how “the Air Force has always made passion and innovation its strength, managing to trace the history of our country over a hundred years, producing excellence, representing Italy in the world and carrying out an extraordinary task”.
