Venerdì 8 Aprile il velivolo della 46^ B.A. ha effettuato il trasporto nell’ambito della cooperazione con il Ministero degli Affari Esteri Il velivoloè giunto a Bengasi intorno alle ore 13, dove il personale diplomatico italiano ha curato gli aspetti formali per l’arrivo e l’imbarco dei feriti. Il team medico dell’Aeronautica MIlitare, coadiuvato dall’equipaggio di volo, ha immediatamente effettuato il ‘triage sanitario’,prestando le prime cure necessarie. Successivamente è stato effettuato il delicato e complesso imbarco dei pazienti, tra i quali vi erano due minori, accompagnatidai propriparenti. Alle ore 18 circa il velivolo è decollatodalla pista dell’aeroporto libico alla voltadell’aeroporto militare diLinate (Milano), dove giungeva dopo circa tre ore di volo. Durante il volo,il team medico teneva costantemente monitorata la situazione sanitaria dei pazienti. Dopo le operazioni di sbarco, il C-130Jè rientratoa Pisa, dove è atterratopoco dopo la mezzanotte. Il trasporto sanitarioè uno dei compiti che l’Aeronautica Militare assicura24 ore al giorno, 365 giorni all’anno,ovunque ci sia bisogno di trasportare pazienti in immediato pericolo di vita. La 46^ Brigata Aerea è uno dei Reparti che contribuisce, con i propri velivoli C-130J e C-27J all’assolvimento di questo delicato compito in favore della collettività.
