The visit to the Villafranca di Verona Department took place on Wednesday, September 18, and involved 53 children.
Upon their arrival, the small visitors, sixty-seven females and seventeen males aged between seven and ten years, accompanied by the Mayor of Caselle, Giuseppe Residori, and the three Presidents of these Committees, were welcomed by the Commander of the Wing, Colonel Marco Maistrello, at the ATOC (Air Terminal Operation Center).
The program continued with a visit to the Operational Support Services Group and the area dedicated to safe driving courses. The event concluded with lunch at the “Villaggio Azzurro”, to which Mayor of Mozzecane Tomas Piccinini also attended.
The warm welcome from the staff of Stormo, complemented and enhanced by the distribution of aeronautical gadgets and other souvenirs, sparked the much-anticipated interest and enjoyment among the children.
