The exhibition, on display from 2 to 8 November at the Command of the 72nd Guided Interceptor Group (IT) in Bovolone (Verona). The exhibition has been divided into seven sections, each of which has covered a specific period in Bovolone's long aeronautical history. It begins with the Cà degli Oppi airfield (Verona), which hosted the XI Caproni Bomber Group in 1918, then with the Bovolone Gliding School and the German aeronautical presence in 1944-45. And, of course, particular attention was paid to the story of the 72nd Fighter Squadron, which later became the 72nd IT Squadron. Ample space was also dedicated to MOVM Lieutenant Franco Cappa, a torpedo bomber who fell in the Sea of Sardinia in 1941, after whom the 72nd IT Group has been named since 2002.
As part of the event, a conference on the events of the Great War airfield was organised at the Cà degli Oppi auditorium, which took place on Wednesday 4th November.
