Brigadier General Francesco Cannillo took over the position in place of Brigadier General Achille Fornari
In his farewell speech, General Fornari, who in July 2009 assumed the duties of Deputy Commander and Commander of the then COMAER Headquarters, wished to express his heartfelt thanks for the professionalism, availability and high level of commitment with which all the staff had daily worked and continue to work to meet the many and varied needs coming from the supported entities, emphasizing that the activities of COMAER, although carried out in a “professional and efficient manner”,“silent”And although they have sometimes been less visible, they have always resulted in excellent results, even in times of radical changes and restructuring, such as the current one, which will affect COMAER both in terms of its operational structure and as the body responsible for providing services.
General Cannillo, after expressing his gratitude to the Superior Authorities and in particular to the Commander of the COMAER for the trust placed in him in the assignment of the new position, wished to thank General Fornari for the advice received and to offer him his sincere “Good luck”For the next assignment as head of the Support Service of the Logistics Command. Addressing the staff, considering them the central hub of all activities, the new Deputy Commander concluded his remarks by wishing them good luck in their important future engagements that will involve all components of COMAER.”.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, General Rizzo, in highlighting the extreme importance of the activities carried out by COMAER, especially in responding to emergency situations, thanked General Fornari for the work carried out and the brilliant results achieved by all the components of the Command, then wishing General Cannillo well in this important responsibility that will see him, in a few days, leading the newly established Command for Support to the High-Level Entities.
