The ’Breganze Solidale“ association based in Breganze (VI), the volunteer association ”La Compagnia dei Genitori Scatenati“ based in Pasian di Prato (UD), and the ”Giulio Locatelli“ Anffas Onlus Center based in Pordenone visited Aviano. The numerous guests were first welcomed with the ritual of greeting at the Departmental Circle, then they watched the footage of the National Acrobatics Patrol and received some gifts, including posters of the Air Force. The tour continued with a visit to the Fire Department (Vigili del Fuoco del servizio antincendio del 31° Fighter Wing), where visitors were able to witness and take part directly in various demonstrations using firefighting equipment; as always, in these special occasions, there was no lack of a photo with the mascot ”Sparky“ who entertained the little ones.
After a sober breakfast provided by the Italian military of the Aviano Air Force Command, the “special guests” watched the simulation of the arrest of an intruder by a canine unit. The day concluded with the ritual visit to the “Gate Guardian” aircraft on static display, the F-100 and the recently inaugurated F-16.
