On Sunday 16 June, at the Cameri Airport Command, the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of its constitution (1999-2024). The event, which began with a flag-raising ceremony, was attended by several military and civilian authorities from the region and the Air Force Logistic Commander, Air Force Lieutenant General Antonio Conserva.

After the flag-raising ceremony, the Airport Commander, Colonel Alessandro Pavesi, took the floor, focusing on the role played today by Cameri Air Base Command: “Twenty-five years have passed since its establishment, and the essence of the Department has undergone substantial and numerous changes to always be responsive to the needs of the Armed Force. Today, the mission of the Airport Command is therefore to ensure, in the manner established by the Logistics Command, logistical and administrative support to the 1st RMV and to the Air Force Bodies and Departments located at the airport site and in the area of competence, and to ensure the coordination and control of flight activities carried out at the airport, also in favour of national industry. This is a fundamental role, enabling our Armed Force to carry out its institutional tasks daily in the best possible way.”.

Following this, the General Store, in his speech, wanted to send a thought to the staff: “Ladies and gentlemen of the Airport Command, today you are recognised by many as a leading and benchmark entity for the entire Armed Force in the field of logistical support for the maintenance and operational sectors of both the Air Force and national industry; be proud of this.”.

The day was sealed by the signing of an agreement between the Airport Command and the Club 53 represented by President, (Ret.) Gen. S.A. Giulio Mainini, a formal act which confirmed, once again, the strong bond that has always existed between serving and retired military personnel who served at Cameri base.

The celebrations continued with the Family Day and with various attractions and initiatives aimed at serving or retired personnel who have worked at the Cameri Airport Command over time, and who have participated with their families, guests and friends of the Blue Air Force.
