The training of foreign personnel provided by Italian Air Force instructors in the field of Air Defence falls within the framework of bilateral cooperation activities with Lithuania and Albania. On Tuesday 18 December, the closing ceremony for a training and specialisation course in the field of Integrated Air and Missile Defence Control took place at the Airspace Control Training Department (RACSA) in Pratica di Mare. Five trainees from the Lithuanian and Albanian Air Forces participated. This type of training, which began in November and lasted two months, is part of bilateral cooperation activities with Lithuania and Albania.
The RACSA is the training body of the Air Force tasked with training Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks personnel of all Armed Forces, including foreign ones, in Integrated Missile Air Defence Control, Air Traffic Control and Meteorology, as well as providing training support to other State departments such as Civil Protection and the National Fire Corps.
