On Saturday 30th January, the Red Devils hosted the team participating in the Superbike World Championship. In the presence of numerous guests and specialist press, Dr. Pezziniti, owner of the SEON Company and main sponsor of the team, unveiled the official Honda CBR 1000 RR, which will be ridden by 26-year-old Vittorio Iannuzzo, in his sixth championship in the category. Dr. Pezziniti, after presenting the team, went on to speak about the great potential of the team, both technically and in terms of personnel, thanks to which the team will be able to achieve significant satisfaction.
Lieutenant Colonel Marco Astolfi, representing the Commander of the 6th Wing, highlighted in his speech the bond that unites aeroplanes and motorbikes; not only in terms of pure speed but also of a very high, constantly evolving technological ‘know-how’, as well as underlining the value of ‘teamwork’ for achieving great results, both operational and sporting.
The press conference concluded with a mutual exchange of gifts and the presentation of the Red Devils' crest, as a sign of friendship and good luck for the upcoming season. The first stage is on Sunday 28th February at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia.
